Big town flavor at this small town restaurant! My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday for lunch and we both ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas for $10.50. OMG the rice and peas were to die for, I could eat a plate of just that! The jerk chicken was juicy and spiced perfectly. We couldn't stop talking about how good the meal was as we were eating it. St Marys has so many great places and this is one of those little treasures!

Finally some new flavour in St. Marys! The West Indian fare at Tropical Flavour rivals the best of Toronto. It doesn't need Drake to make a music video to drum up hype, the food is hype enough.
My favourite is the goat curry (roti and meal) - tender chunks of goat, saucy curry with chickpeas in the right level of spice. The roti has many thin layers making it bouncy and the perfect medium to sop up the curry. Hands down one of the best rice and peas I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Gravy is perfection. The jerk is reminiscent of a Jamaican jerk, but better (not as sweet, low-med spice level). Chicken roti is a standard staple that fills you up. Portion sizes are healthy (you might want to share...but you should really get your own).
Everyone needs to try it out!
